Tempers flared at a Senate panel hearing Wednesday before members advanced the nomination of Alabama Republican Sen. Jeff Sessions as attorney general.
The Senate Judiciary Committee approved Sessions’ nomination along party lines, 11-9, sending it to the full Senate for a confirmation vote. Sessions is expected to win approval by the GOP-controlled chamber.
Immediately after the Judiciary Committee vote, a protester stood up and shouted, “Shame, shame,” to the Republican Senators before she was led out.
And keep her coat, too!
At this point, Session’s confirmation is just a formality. The democrats could only provide a meaningless delay, as their efforts proved fruitless once again.
Jeff Sessions is the best possible man for the Attorney General position. If anything, our enemies fear and loathe him.
“Imagine what he will do as the most powerful lawyer in the country.”

The Trump administration is basically just ramming through their nominees and policies, changing the rules if necessary. This is the kind of attitude we need if we’re going to fix things.
