BREAKING: Jeb Bush announces he is suspending his presidential campaign https://t.co/OPUke2FW8m
— ABC News (@ABC) February 21, 2016
Following his brutal defeat in South Carolina, the sad autist Jeb Bush threw himself under the bus.
Jeb Bush was only polling at 5-6% (he won 8% last night), but those points, if they all go to Rubio, would put him well above Bread Cruz.
Jeb was the mentor of Rubio, and he certainly represents the establishment more than any other candidate left. There are apparently some people who like the idea of “the establishment.”
It would be ideal for us to have Rubio emerge with a clear lead over Cruz. Cruz supporters are much more likely to ultimately go with Trump (anyone supporting Rubio or Jeb is a lost cause). As people see Cruz starting to fall behind, they’ll be more inclined to jump on the Trump train.
Rubio is a Catholic and hasn’t spent his entire career pandering to evangelicals. Evangelicals are more likely to go with Trump because he’ll obviously protect their interests, regardless of the fact he himself doesn’t bother to put on a big fake show about what a great Christian he is.
It is pretty incredible that Cruz was able to get this 22% after all those dirty tricks. You’d think that would have pissed people off. He really is a nasty person.
I’m gonna be honest here:
I’m gonna miss Jeb. The race won’t be the same without him.
