An East Price Hill woman has died, two weeks after her boyfriend allegedly shot her several times in the neck and chest.
A Hamilton County grand jury indicted Antonio Colson for attempted murder Tuesday — the day before 30-year-old Brittany Coop passed away, according to court documents.
Cincinnati police now say additional charges against him are pending.
A witness told police Colson, 36, shot Coop at her home in 2700 block of Maryland Avenue Feb. 11, according to a sworn affidavit.
After the shooting, Colson allegedly fled the scene and left his vehicle in a convenience store parking lot on Beekman Street, according to District 3 police Capt. Daniel Gerard.
Colson was arrested last week.
The grand jury also indicted him on two counts of felonious assault and one count of having weapons under disability.
The weapon charge stems from Colson’s conviction for a felony drug-trafficking charge in 2006, according to court documents. That felony prohibits him from legally carrying a firearm.
He is scheduled to appear before a judge in March.
Coop has previously lived in Anderson Township, according to court records.
