YouTube Introduces New Algorithm to Enable Censorship!

Youtube is declaring a war on PewDiePie… because he’s White. Seriously, skip to the 9-minute mark if you don’t want to watch the whole thing. This guy knows what’s up.

Youtube has changed.

It used to be a pretty cool place, full of Nazi and even Republican videos.

But now it just seems to have SJW crap and unboxing videos.

Wtf happened, Youtube?

Nah, I’m kidding.

It’s not that bad. Well, not yet.

We’ve seen some politically incorrect videos going viral in the past on Youtube. It seems like those days might be drawing to a close, however.

In the above video, PewDiePie notices that his videos suddenly got far fewer views, in spite of the fact that they were getting positive feedback in the comments and that he used hilariously “clickbaity” titles and thumbnails as a test. Something was up.

Huh, who could be behind this?

What’s happening is that Youtube changed the way their interface works in such a way that people’s subscriptions no longer have much of an effect on the videos they’ll see. It’s still possible to manually click on the “subscriptions” button, of course, but very few people bother to do it.

What this means is that instead of the home page being occupied by videos from channels users are subscribed to, Youtube populates it with “recommended” videos, in a way similar to Facebook’s “news feed.”

For now, these recommendations are pretty good. How long until they get Jewed up, though?

These “smart feeds” are very effective at driving up traffic to these social media sites, because they’re scientifically designed to maximize interest and keep engagement high. They analyze a user’s activity and interests, and feed him a careful dosage of varied materials he’s most likely to want to click.

So what’s the problem?

Well, the algorithms used to generate those “recommended content” feeds are secret, known only to the company (Facebook or Google). And they’re subject to change at any moment.

This means that companies like Facebook and Google (which owns Youtube) have full control over the types of content that their user base is exposed to. Even if they subscribe to a bunch of Nazi channels, the company can decide that there will be little or no Nazi content in their feed. Even if politically incorrect material is trending, they might artificially de-weight it so that it stops spreading.

And they’re definitely using this censorship ability to shut down nationalist speech.

Don’t worry, goyim, we’re only selecting the content you can see for your own benefit. No more of that annoying spam, like listicles or Daily Stormer articles! You can thank us later.

Another issue is that companies like Google don’t like the fact that there’s huge YouTube celebrities like PewDiePie (50 million subscribers) who could produce any content they want and be sure to get millions of views. It made them nervous.

With this new system, if a YouTuber produces dumbass unboxing videos and gets millions of views, it won’t give that YouTuber a real platform to do other types of material. For example, if PewDiePie decides tomorrow to start doing right-wing political videos on his channel along with the usual light entertainment, his political videos could be blocked from the feeds of people subscribed to him.

He says he’ll shut down his main channel in protest, but will open a new one. Presumably, to promote a Republican agenda.

In essence, this means that now YouTubers are now working for Google, and will only get views (and thus, money) when they make the type of content that YouTube’s algorithms will tend to feed to people.

Does this mean all avenues for making popular nationalist videos are cut off?

No.

But it means that we have to work around these new limitations if we want to make our videos go viral consistently.

How?

By integrating Nazi ideology and culture into the types of videos that YouTube will promote with it’s algorithms. For example, funny movie/TV show reviews.

E;R is an example of a YouTuber who does movie reviews from a sort /pol/ or Daily Stormer perspective, but keeps things a bit subtle. His channel has been growing steadily, and could probably bypass future censorship algorithms unless someone knowledgeable in /pol/ memes analyses his videos and reports him.

So, basically, we’re gonna need people to start Nazi “unboxing” and “reaction” channels.

“WW2 Werhmacht veterans react to Call of Duty 2!”

“Unboxing and review: 3/4-Inch Diameter Heavy Duty Manila Rope”

Seriously, do it!

Update:

pewdiepie made a follow-up video on the situation.
