Adreanne Evans was shot and killed by her jealous Black ex-boyfriend.

A Harrisburg man will spend life in prison for the shotgun killing of his ex-girlfriend two years ago.

Lagenza Junious, 39, pleaded guilty to the first degree murder of Adreanne Evans and the attempted murder of Evans’s boyfriend on Tuesday, just as jury selection was about to begin in his death penalty trial.

Prosecutors agreed to not seek the death penalty and Dauphin County Judge Scott Evans immediately sentenced Junious to life in prison without parole on the murder charge and a consecutive 20 to 40 years on the attempted murder charge.

Junious on Dec. 20, 2012 broke into Evans’s apartment in the 900 block of North Sixth Street and shot his ex-girlfriend and her boyfriend while her mother and 4-month-old son were only a few feet away.
