A fight at a Clemson apartment complex led to a stabbing that killed a man early Thursday morning.
Clemson Police Chief Jimmy Dixon said they got a medical call about 2 a.m. about a seizure at the Goldenwoods Apartments, located on Creekside Drive.
When deputies arrived they found a man suffering from stab wounds, according to Dixon.
The man was rushed to Oconee Memorial hospital by Pickens County EMS where he was pronounced dead, Dixon said.
Pickens County Coroner Kandy Kelley identified the victim as 20-year-old Cameron Ray Flores.
Dixon said police arrested Michael Taquarius Rancher, 18, of Clemson, and charged him with murder.
Dixon said Rancher went to the apartments where the victim was visiting. The victim and Rancher exchanged words, which led to a fight, Dixon said.
At some point, Rancher got a knife and stabbed the man, Dixon said.
Rancher is currently being held at the Clemson City Jail awaiting first appearance before a judge, Dixon said.
