The victim’s family maintains that this was a 100% random killing, but that’s seldom the case with colored-on-white female murders.
Something doesn’t add up here…
A jury has convicted one man in the death of Susan McDonald, who was fatally shot in Cordova in 2015.
Anthony Olivo, 40, was convicted Friday of first-degree murder in McDonald’s death. Co-defendant Andrew Bowen, 42, was convicted of facilitation of first-degree murder for his role in the killing.
Olivo was sentenced by Criminal Court Judge Lee Coffee to life in prison, with the possibility of parole. He must serve 51 years, Coffee said.
The men will return to court on March 8 for Bowen’s sentencing as well as their convictions on other charges that include being felons in possession of handguns.

McDonald, 55, of Germantown, was killed in the driveway of a friend’s home in Cordova on Aug. 1, 2015.
Nothing was taken after the shooting and her vehicle, purse and gun were found at the scene. Police said early in the investigation that her weapon had not been fired.
At the time, her family said it was not a domestic dispute, nor was she involved in any contentious relationships.
