Maybe we can get the Mexicans out rioting a little bit harder here, eh?
An armed auto-body shop security guard was fatally shot by Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies on Thursday night, a report said.
The man, identified by his boss to CBSLA as 18-year-old Andres Guardado, was shot at about 6 p.m. after running from deputies in the town of Gardena.
“The police came up, and they pulled their guns on him and he ran because he was scared, and they shot and killed him,” Andrew Heney, the shop’s owner, told the network.
“He’s got a clean background and everything. There’s no reason.”
It was not immediately clear what led police to respond to the location in the first place.
When the deputies first saw Guardado he “produced a handgun” and fled, a sheriff’s department spokesperson said at a press briefing.
“Deputies engaged in a short foot pursuit between the two businesses, at some point the deputies contacted the suspect and that’s when the deputy-involved shooting occurred,” the spokesperson said.
Yeah, this is now going to be the standard narrative – “he had a right to attack the cops because he was scared, thinking the cops were planning to murder him out of hatred for his skin color.”
That reasoning has already been used by CNN in relation to Rayshard Brooks attacking the cops and taking their weapon – a black rights woman on there claimed that he had every reason to resist arrest and attack the cops, because he believed the cops were planning to murder him for no reason.
At this point, the narrative might actually hold up – the media is saying nonstop that cops are engaged in a campaign to murder random colored people for no reason, so probably, a lot of colored people do think that if a cop confronts them, it is with an intent to commit a random murder.
I don’t really know what you do about that. I guess in a sane world, you would do something to sanction this media for purposefully lying to the people in order to create mass unrest and violence.
