CDC Follows FDA, Says Boosters Only Okay for 65 and Up (Or 50+ with Conditions)

I can’t find a single online explainer outlining in simple terms the relationship between the FDA and the CDC.

From what I’m able to gather, the chain of authority here is a bit muddled.

Anyway, the FDA refused to endorse coronavirus boosters – by a vote of 16 to 2 – earlier this month. They did say that people over 65 could take the third shot. But the Bidens want it for everyone, and are also soon to start pushing the fourth shot.

The Bidens’ goal is a 6-month schedule for everyone in the country (including infants) to get these injections.

The CDC is all in on boosters, right alongside Lord Fauci and the Bidens.

RT:

A US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) advisory panel has endorsed Covid-19 vaccine booster shots for the elderly and other high-risk adults, paving the way for the Biden administration to roll out third jabs.

The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices on Thursday recommended giving third doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine to people 65 and older, as well as to individuals 50-64 whose medical conditions make them more likely to suffer serious illness or death from the virus. If the CDC accepts the recommendation later on Thursday, as expected, the administration will have cleared its final hurdle to begin offering the booster shots.

The CDC endorsement comes one day after the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved third doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech shot for essentially the same groups of people – seniors, people with underlying health conditions, and individuals who work in high-risk environments, such as nursing homes, hospitals and prisons as well as schools and grocery shops.

Both agencies stopped short of approving booster shots for all adults, as the administration had sought. More than a month ago, President Joe Biden announced plans to begin offering booster shots to all Americans aged 16 and older, saying they would begin on September 20. That move angered some public health officials and reportedly contributed to the resignations of two FDA vaccine officials because the president pushed ahead with his booster-shot plan without adequate regulatory review.

So now, the likely thing that is going to happen is that the next shot will be a new shot. They will at least put a new branding on the old shots, and say that it is to fight a “new variant.”

There are already several candidates in development.

One thing is for certain: the Bidens are not going to back down from the plan to have you taking these shots on a regular schedule for the rest of your life.
