It was only a matter of time before we started seeing red flag gun confiscations in real time on the internet.

This one could have gone a lot worse, but somehow ended up not devolving into a slaughter at the hands of the coppers.

Westchester News 12:

A Putnam County standoff ended peacefully Saturday at around 9:30 p.m., Carmel police say.

They say a man had barricaded himself inside a home for nearly seven hours before he finally surrendered.

Police say it started after 2 p.m. when they went to speak with a 28-year-old man about a domestic incident involving his wife earlier in the day. They say he then barricaded himself in the home.

It appears that the details surrounding this story are not fully fleshed out yet. From what I can gather, Alex Booth (Afghan war vet) had a colleague at work who told the police that Alex had high-capacity magazines (30 rounds) in his possession and that prompted the police to swoop in on his house while he was at work and steal his guns.

But the news reports claim this was a domestic violence call – at least that’s what the police are saying.

I guess both stories seem plausible – I have no trouble believing that his house-wench decided to call the cops on him after he asked her to make him a sandwich, which was all the reason that the cops needed to swoop in on this guy and steal his guns.

However:

This is what Alex Booth (Whiskey_Warrior_556) believes happened.

Police say they don’t believe he had a gun and no one else in the community was in danger.

Negotiators worked throughout the day to try to get him to come out, but police say that he was posting live updates on social media. They say his followers only aggravated the situation.

“This is a person in crisis, having mental illness, having issues and he didn’t need the people on social media telling him that his rights are being violated,” said Chief Michael Cazzari of the Carmel Police. “He needed help. Medical help.”

This badge-wop needs to provide proof for these claims. To me, the man looked like he was doing his best to keep it together while his life was falling apart right before his very eyes. He was making jokes and generally being entertaining by showing off his knowledge of internet memes.

You can see the situation unfold for yourself and decide:

You will notice that he does not mention anything about having a tiff with the missus, only that the police stole his guns and want to arrest him.

Furthermore, the cops showed up with a whole army and started harassing the people in the neighborhood.

According to the woman interviewed, the cops were on the prowl looking for dogs to shoot, so she had to keep them inside all day.

As it stands now, this story makes no sense and that means there is heckery afoot.

We need to get to the bottom of this.
