It is going to be so funny if everyone dies from this disease.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom said Thursday that 33 people have tested positive for COVID-19 and the state is currently monitoring at least 8,400 others —a day after U.S. health officials confirmed the first possible community transmission of the coronavirus in a Solano County resident.
“This is a fluid situation right now and I want to emphaize the risk to the American public remains low,” said Dr. Sonia Y. Angell, California Department of Public Health Director and State Health Officer during a press conference. “There have been a limited number of confirmed cases to date.”
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention doesn’t know exactly how the new California patient, who’s receiving medical care in Sacramento County, contracted the virus. The patient didn’t have a relevant travel history or exposure to another patient with the virus, the CDC said Wednesday.
California health officials said the patient wasn’t under quarantine before her diagnosis and was out and about in her community.
I’ve said that I do not think that Coronavirus is going to lead to the apocalypse, but I now want to slightly alter my position on that, and inform you that Coronavirus probably will lead to the apocalypse.
No I mean – seriously though.
You should probably have some food, water, cash and cigarettes stored up in case this situation spins totally out of control.
Because if and when it does spin out of control, you’re going to have little or no warning.
The disease itself is pretty unlikely to kill you, unless you are old or a baby. But it is becoming extremely likely that quarantines are going to lead to supply lines being shut down, which will mean that grocery store shelves are empty and people start rioting and then martial law is declared and you’re not allowed to leave your home.
Also, I would advise you to not make a big thing of stocking up on food, so the rest of the people in your neighborhood don’t know you have stocks of food.
You obviously want crap food, such as canned goods and processed crap in boxes. Nothing that will spoil. I mean, I’m a health fanatic, so do your best to get semi-healthy food that you can eat either way if there is no apocalypse.
I don’t want to be the “happening guy,” because in my experience, nothing ever actually happens.
But the chances of something happening have gotten a lot higher than they ever really have been. Even though those chances are still relatively low.
If an apocalypse does happen, the situation will end eventually, either when the virus is contained or when all old people and babies die.
But, you know. Probably make sure you have enough ammo. Just in case.
And get a box of surgical masks.
Even if this virus isn’t the big one (and I still don’t think it is), the days of walking around in public without a surgical mask on are probably pretty much over.
Wearing a surgical mask whenever you go out in public is the wages of globalism.
If that seems sad to you, just focus on all of the benefits of globalism. Like ethnic restaurants and maybe other things too.
