There is some confusion around the word “lockdown.”
Hoax minimalists are claiming that this is not a “lockdown” for the unvaxed.
Restaurants, fitness centers and other indoor businesses in the District on Saturday began requiring patrons to show proof of vaccination, the first day of a mandate in the nation’s capital that is geared toward curbing the latest surge of the coronavirus.
“Can I see your vaccination card and photo ID?” workers across the city asked customers over and over, receiving warm smiles from some who readily complied while others unaware of the new rule awkwardly searched their wallets and phones.

The new rule applies to anyone 12 or older entering sit-down restaurants, bars, gyms, theaters and most other public places where people spend long periods sitting inside. Grocery stores, retail stores and houses of worship are among the exempt locations.
With the mandate, the District of Columbia joined other major cities that have implemented similar requirements – including New York, Los Angeles, Boston and Philadelphia – in hopes of reversing a dramatic spike in coronavirus infections brought on by the highly transmissible omicron variant.
I would call this a “lockdown for the unvaxed.”

Yes, you are allowed to walk around on the streets without being stopped by police and checked for a vax card. In Austria, their “lockdown for the unvaxed” actually has plainclothes police doing vaccine passport stop and frisk on random people walking around on the streets.
But if you are not allowed to enter any public building, how are you not “locked down”? You can’t go anywhere.
At least in America, even during most of the “lockdowns,” you were still allowed to walk around outside.
Anyway – call it whatever you want, there is now a vaccine passport system, which means that you can’t go into public buildings without a vaccine passport, and this is being implemented across the planet.
And just like the post-911 measures, this isn’t ever going away.

They plan that for the rest of your life, you’re going to have to scan a QR code to enter any public building, to prove you’ve had your latest shots. This system will no doubt be expanded, rather than scaled-down, and they will add more factors into the app.
As they’ve already said, there is going to be a unified global system run by Apple and Google that puts this proof on your phone, as we’ve already seen in so many countries. You’ll start hearing Joe Biden demanding that soon, and calling you a racist if you are against it.
