White Nationalism in some ways, is a quite nebulous movement, but it is not the entirety of the pro-white movement. There are many who are pro-white but are not necessarily White Nationalist. Derek Black, the son of Don Black, founder of Stormfront.org, the worlds largest White Nationalist discussion forum, as it appears from a letter he sent to the SPLC, has renounced White Nationalism.i He has not just renounced White Nationalism per se, but it appears he may have also abandoned the pro-white movement entirely. Derek Black isn’t just renouncing the KKK, the neo-Nazi’s and skinheads, which would be understandable and reasonable, but everything.
Derek Black wrote a letterii to Mark Potok in response to the SPLC discussing an earlier letter of Derek’s which the SPLC wrote an exposé on, despite Derek only intending the letter to be for fellow students and not for the public. Why Derek would renounce his White Nationalism to someone who wrote an exposé on him and to a militant, underhanded organization like the SPLC is beyond us, but there may be other factors (such as threats by anti-racists, arm twisting, etc).
Derek writes, appearing to channel anti-white activist, Tim Wise (Timothy Jacob)…
I acknowledge that things I have said as well as my actions have been harmful to people of color, people of Jewish descent, activists striving for opportunity and fairness for all, and others affected. It was not my intention then, and I will not contribute to any cause that perpetuates this harm in the future. Advocating for redress of the supposed oppression of whites in the West is by its nature damaging to all others because of the privileged position of white people in these societies. Promoting a victim complex for whites does not recognize the oppressed experiences of others not in the position of a white person in society, and that’s what my efforts have done. For those to whom the white nationalist perspective is alien, I think it’s worth summarizing here:
This is pure Leftist anti-white drivel. Derek seems to conveniently forget that the West, and Western countries were created by Europeans, that is, white people. It is to be EXPECTED that white people would dominate in countries which they created, not due to privilege, oppression, but pure logic. America was founded and colonized by white people. Western Civilization throughout Europe was created by Europeans. To argue that the reason that our race is prevalent in the culture and society, is as ridiculous as to argue that the Ming Dynasty in China was predominantly Chinese due to oppression and racism, rather than the simple fact that it was a production of the people who are now considered Chinese. This stance isn’t just wrong, it is insulting and offensive. It essentially denies that Western culture is the creation of our people, and posits that it only appears so due to racism. White privilege does not really exist outside of countries which whites didn’t build, and the concept is an intellectual scam created by the anti-white brigade, to secure paychecks and academic tenure as Social Justice Warriors.
Derek continues,
White nationalism supports the premise that multiculturalism is a failure, and that politicians trapped in a multicultural status quo are oppressing white people in “their own country.” They typically blame the West’s movement toward inclusion on a conspiracy of Jewish power to promote multiculturalism at the expense of whites.
Most Europeans are living with the failures of Multiculturalism. They are living with no-go zones in their cities, with increased crime, rape, with race-riots and with oppressive laws in order to keep the facade of racial harmony. Even the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel has called multiculturalism a failure. Derek has just decided to forget all that. As for Jewish power to promote multiculturalism, there are many views among the White Nationalist movement regarding that. All we shall do, is point the reader to one example. Barbara Lerner Spectre, a founding director of Paideia, an institute for Jewish Studies in Sweden, and herself Jewish, is on record saying (keep in mind that multiculturalism in Europe means mass immigration from the Islamic world, Asia and Africa)…
“I think there’s a resurgence of antisemitism because at this point in time Europe has not yet learned how to be multicultural, and I think we’re gonna be part of the throes of that transformation, which must take place. Europe is not going to be the monolithic societies that they once were in the last century. Jews are going to be at the center of that. It’s a huge transformation for Europe to make. They are now going into a multicultural mode, and Jews will be resented because of our leading role. But without that leading role, and without that transformation, Europe will not survive.”
There are other examples, and we will leave it as an exercise to the reader to determine how warranted Derek Blacks criticism of accusations of Jewish promotion of Multicultural in white nations is.
Derek continues,
On the other hand, white nationalists consider white people in the US to be ostensibly the victims of an ongoing genocide brought about by immigration and miscegenation, and feel that when they try to speak up about it, they are subjected to a vicious double standard. They observe that Black Nationalism and Zionism are recognized as tolerable, but whites with a similar declaration are vilified as racists. When they attempt to claim an accomplishment or cultural production for the white race that produced it, they are called racists. If they produced their own Malcolm X, the nation as a whole would regurgitate. Thus their own white leaders are victimizing white people—the system has turned its formidable weapons against a white identity. Therefore they think that whites must oppose resistance to racism in order to guarantee the future of white people as a people.
Again, Derek is not renouncing anything here. We see a trend. Derek is simply ignoring issues affecting our people, and implying that those issues don’t exist. He offers no evidence, no rationale, no counter arguments to valid White Nationalist concerns. Anti-whites never do, and Derek doesn’t either. Here Derek is suggesting that white people don’t need to oppose resistance to racism to guarantee the future of white people as a people. Anti-racists demand that ALL and ONLY white nations open up their borders to non-white nations and assimilate. In order for our people to exist as a people, it becomes logically necessary for whites, somewhere, to not be subjected to mass immigration. But where? Is there any nation where it would be acceptable to anti-whites “anti-racists”, to have a policy which kept that nation white and for this to be acceptable to them? Of course there isn’t and no anti-white ever approves of ANY white nation, state, county or town opposing non-white immigration. Not only that, but anti-whites oppose whites who opposed assimilation. They oppose whites who are concerned about the future of our race. They oppose us, just because we are white, through the intellectual scam of “white privilege. In short, everything which is necessary for us to exist, as a people, is opposed by anti-racist.
Anti-racist ideology is simply incompatible with the existence of our race as a people into the future. Derek again, is turning a blind eye to the inevitable consequence of a people who comprise about 10% of the worlds population, inviting the rest of the word for assimilation into their lands, without exception. He offers no explanation of how we can exist as a people under the current climate of unrestricted immigration, promotion of assimilation and denouncement of any form of white identification.
Derek continues,
It is impossible to argue rationally that in our society, with its overwhelming disparity between white power and that of everyone else, racial equity programs intended to affect the deep-rooted situation represent oppression of whites. More importantly, white nationalism’s staunch opposition to the gains in numbers and in influence of non-whites makes it a movement by nature committed to suppressing these people.
So the white person, who never has done anything at all to oppress anyone, who is going for the same job as a black person, who is automatically disadvantaged because the black person has Affirmative Action and racial quotas working in their favour, deserves to be disadvantaged? This sounds like it came from the mouth of Tim Wise. This is not the kind of nonsense conclusion one comes to independently. This indicates that Derek has been exposed to anti-white propaganda, as Derek is using the language and tropes that come from niche Race Critical Theory.
Derek continues with a sappy apology,
I do not believe advocacy against “oppression of whites” exists in any form but an entrenched desire to preserve white power at the expense of others. I am sorry for the damage done by my actions and my past endorsement of white nationalism.
Is there an issue with white people wanting to keep their nation? I would like to see Derek chastise the Chinese, Japanese or Koreans for not having more racial diversity in their respective governments, but we’ll unlikely to see this. Derek has gone full anti-white. He hasn’t become anti-racist, an anti-racist would point out “structural racism” in Japan, Korea, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, India, Mongolia and call them out on the lack of diversity in their positions of power, movies and media. He has become anti-white, concerned only where whites have power. He has become the type of contemptible fool who will accuse European nations of being racist, for not having a black President/PM/Chancellor, but has no issue with non-white nations having their own race in power. He has subscribed to the Genocidal, “Africa for the Africans, Asia for the Asians, White countries for EVERYONE” idea.
