Felony charges have been filed against a Golden-based certified public accountant for twice voting for her father, who passed away in 2012.
n October prosecutors filed two felony forgery charges against Toni Lee Newbill, charging her with first voting for her father in a 2013 general election and then again casting a ballot for her father in a 2016 Republican primary election.
Her father, Ralph Nanninga, died in 2012 in El Paso County at the age of 86.

LAPD Prepping For “Riot Mode” In Some Neighborhoods If Donald Trump Wins
While not overtly ramping things up as much as the New York Police Department is tonight on the East Coast, the Los Angeles Police Department has quietly put in place plans to counter any disturbances on the streets if GOP nominee Donald Trump is elected president. “The polite thing to say is that this is not unusual, but this has been a very unusual election,” said a senior law enforcement official with knowledge of tonight’s LAPD plans. “We are ready to go into riot mode if required, if the order comes.”
“Tempers are frayed in a number of our communities from the inflammatory language and policies that some have proposed,” the official added, noting that minority-dominated neighborhoods in East L.A. and South L.A. are of concern. “If the outcome sees Mr. Trump elected, measures are in place to maintain calm, if need be.”

1 Dead, Multiple People Shot Near Polling Station; Active Shooter Heavily Armed, Officials Said
One person was killed and at least three others were wounded Tuesday in an active shooting near a polling place in Azusa.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Capt. Jeff Scroggin said police were dealing with at least one suspect who was heavily armed.
Few details were released about the shooting, which occurred sometime after 2 p.m. in a residential neighborhood in the area of Fourth Street and Orange Avenue, said Officer Jerry Willison of the Azusa Police Department.
“This is a very volatile and critical situation,” he said.
Willison declined to provide the location of the shooting for the safety of the officers and the victims, he said.
Azusa police urged residents to stay out of the area and asked all residents to shelter in place.
It was unclear whether any officers were injured in the shooting, Willison said.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said they were assisting police.
Azusa Union School District issued a lockdown for Slauson Middle and Mountain View Elementary schools about 2:15 p.m., officials said. A nearby daycare center and preschool was also locked down.
Details are unclear, but maybe the shooter is upset about these early votes showing Trump BTFOing the Hildabeast (see below)

Jon Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen were on hand to help kick off Clinton’s rally in Philadelphia. The Clinton campaign went all out for this event at Independence Mall, with speeches by President Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, Chelsea Clinton and former President Bill Clinton. The event marked Springsteen’s first public performance in support of the Democratic presidential candidate, which was notable given his public support for Obama.
Springsteen performed an acoustic set of his hits including “Thunder Road,” “Long Walk Home” and “Dancing in the Dark.”
“The choice tomorrow couldn’t be any clearer,” Springsteen said to the crowd. “Hillary’s candidacy is based on intelligence, experience, preparation and on an actual vision of an America where everyone counts.”
Bon Jovi, on the other hand, pulled a campaign event double-header and also joined Clinton at a rally in Raleigh, N.C., along with Lady Gaga. Their opening performance included a duet of “Livin’ on a Prayer.”
“We want you to stand up and be a part of history,” Gaga said in her speech as she asked voters to join her in the fight for the country’s future. The singer touted Clinton’s career accomplishments while also calling on Democratic voters to reconcile with Trump supporters after the election.

As the world waits with bated breath for the results of Tuesday’s contentious presidential election, its eyes turned briefly to three sleepy hamlets in rural New Hampshire, as their residents — fewer than 100 total — became the first in the nation to cast their ballots.
In Dixville Notch, Hillary Clinton beat Donald Trump 4-2. Libertarian Gary Johnson received one vote, and the 2012 Republican candidate, Mitt Romney received a surprise write-in ballot. Officials said the women — identified as 28-year-old Tiffany Robson, of Seattle, Washington, and 30-year-old Neda Topaloski, of Montreal, Quebec — walked into the precinct, took off their tops and made anti-Trump statements, including “get your balls out of our polls.”

Two election officials have already been fired for allegedly intimidating voters.
Two Florida election clerks were fired Tuesday and police were called to the scene after a dispute over alleged voter intimidation.
The Pompano Beach clerks were not named. One was a Democrat and the other a Republican, NBC Miami reported.
Election officials told Local 10 the clerks were fired because they didn’t adhere to “procedure and policy.”

A Colorado couple who were preparing for the arrival of their first baby didn’t let early labor pains stop them from casting their votes on Friday, as they made a quick pit stop to drop off their ballots before continuing on to the hospital.

The Pulse Opinion Research survey found that 51 percent of Hispanics believe that there has been “too little” done to enforce immigration laws. What’s more, by a margin of 49 percent to 36 percent, Hispanics “support a policy causing illegal immigrants to return home by enforcing the law.”
Overall, the survey done for the Center for Immigration Studies, found that most Americans, 54 percent, believe that the administration has done too little to enforce immigration laws and 56 percent support returning illegals.
Immigration has been a huge issue in the election and most pundits have reasoned that Trump’s call for enforcement and construction of a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border has pushed Hispanics into Hillary Rodham Clinton’s camp.
It’s no doubt a confusing situation for them, because they want their own people out so they can continue to live off the White man. They know the fount will dry up if there are too many leeches on the host.
But at the same time, they are fearful to vote Republican because they think they will have their gibs stripped.

More than one-third (36 percent) of 2016 voters said being a strong leader was the most important quality when picking a president, compared with 18 percent of voters who said the same during 2012 election. It’s an opinion held regardless of partisan leanings: 35 percent of Democrats, 34 percent of independents and 39 percent of Republicans said that was most important.
After being a strong leader, voters said having a vision for the future, at 29 percent, was most important. Sixteen percent picked having a candidate share their values and care about people like them, respectively.

North Carolina is reporting voter malfunctions.
The Southern Coalition for Social Justice is among the organizations asking that polls stay open an extra hour in Durham County because of problems there.
The coalition and other organizations coordinating North Carolina’s Election Protection Coalition sent a letter Tuesday to the State Board of Elections asking that polls close at 8:30 p.m. rather than 7:30 p.m.
The request came after a computer problem resulted in elections officials relying on a paper check-in process, resulting in at least one precinct running out of authorization-to-vote forms.
It’s unbelievable that they can’t make these machines work.
Why didn’t they keep to paper in the first place, unless they were planning fraud and confusion?
