The monkey trial for the heroes of the Golden Dawn, who stand accused of a bunch of nonsensical gibberish by the Jew-run state of Greece, began today but was adjourned until May 7.

ekathimerini:

The trial was adjourned after it emerged that one of the 69 defendants did not have a lawyer. Golden Dawn leader Nikos Michaloliakos and many of the Neo-Nazi party’s MPs did not appear in the special courtroom at Korydallos Prison. A total of 44 defendants appeared in court.

The trial began after a months-long investigation into the party following the murder of rapper Pavlos Fyssas in September 2013 by Golden Dawn member Giorgos Roupakias.

Journalists were told that witnesses of Fyssas’s murder were attacked by Golden Dawn supporters as they arrived at Korydallos Prison. Details of the alleged incident were not immediately available but the police was notified.

The first day of the trial was attended by Fyssas’s mother and representatives from political parties, as well as Athens Mayor Giorgos Kaminis.

For those who don’t know, the rapper Fyssas was killed in a bar fight by a guy who cleaned floors at a Golden Dawn office. The government and media of Greece then manufactured a completely insane fantasy about how the leadership of the Golden Dawn had planned and ordered this rapper assassinated. They presented no evidence, but used the theory to round up key members of the organization, put them in prison, and reduce the party’s gains in elections.

As soon as the trial starts it will be over, as there is no actual evidence of any of the claims against them. The entire purpose of accusing them of this rapper-assassination was to harass them through the legal system, not to actually try and convict them.
