On the evening of August 4, a mass protest against immigration took place at the government residence in Latvia’s capital Riga. The protest was mainly organised by Latvia’s National Alliance with the help of the Conservative People’s Party of Estonia. Around 1,500 people took part of the protest.
Protesters shouted slogans such as “Stop genocide against Latvians!” and “Stop genocide against White people!”
“Even the Russian immigrants who arrived in Latvia during Soviet occupation have failed to integrate,” said the organizers. “Even more, the immigrants who are starting to arrive now have a totally different culture, language and traditions compared to Latvian ones.”
“Today’s protest clearly indicated that Baltic people are strongly against immigration,” said Jaak Madison, the youngest MP of Estonia and probably the first member of an European legislation after 70 years who has said he is a National Socialist. “Immigration would have catastrophic consequences to the country’s social system and more than 80% of Latvians oppose it. We have always supported our Latvian brothers-in-arms and today’s protest was again a great example of this cooperation.”
