Lunatic Pope Tells Plague-Stricken Italians to Think of Migrants

The Pope normally gives “general audiences” to tens of thousands of people gathered in St. Peter’s Square. When he spoke last night, the square was empty, because plague-struck Italy is on lockdown.

He transmitted his very important message on television instead. And the very important message was this: “Forget your fucking plague, wops! Think of the migrants!”

Pope Francis, holed up in the Vatican by Italy’s coronavirus epidemic, held his first virtual general audience on Wednesday, thanking medical staff but urging the world not to forget the plight of Syrian refugees.

Speaking without prepared remarks, he said that “this pain, this epidemic,” should not make the world forget about Syrian refugees on the Greek-Turkish border.

“They are a people who have been suffering for years. They have to escape from war, hunger and illness. Let’s not forget our brothers and sisters, so many children who are suffering there,” he said.

This Jew-loving Jesuit is an outright maniac. Italians are dropping like flies around him and he’s still banging on about migrants!

It’s quite possible, in fact, that it was one of these “Syrian” migrants that brought the plague to Italy. One of the theories doing the rounds is that the original superspreader in Italy was an Iranian. If this turns out to be true, it could have tumultuous implications for Italian politics in future.

Generally, this plague is pregnant with opportunity for our cause. Whatever spin you put on it, it’s clear that cosmopolitanism has brought this catastrophe upon us. This may be exactly the kind of convulsion we have been waiting for to overturn the status quo and make people receptive to new ideas or old ones remastered for the digital age.
