After pictures from a security camera on the campus were released, the man who had been terrorizing the UCLA campus surrendered to police. Originally described as “light skinned,” without a race being given, it turns out the man was a Latino – though in statistics, he will still appear as ‘White,’ regardless of his variant genetic background.
From KTLA 5:
Daniel Fernando Hoyos Isaza, 20, of Santa Clarita, Calif., turned himself in to university police around 1 p.m., Littlestone said. Isaza was scheduled to be transferred to the L.A. Sheriff’s Department’s Inmate Reception Center in downtown Los Angeles.
UCLA police released surveillance pictures of a man on Saturday they believe may be the suspect. A female student reported a man grabbed her from behind near Rieber Hall at about 2:30 a.m. Friday, UCPD spokeswoman Nancy Greenstein said. The man was scared off after two people interrupted the alleged attack. Investigators believe the man then accosted a second person at a nearby residence hall, according to a police report.
