We saw Robert Mueller, now 75, at a Congressional hearing exactly a year ago, and the man did not know where the hell he was.
The new Democrat strategy is to use senile old white men as shields for their agenda.
The former special counsel Robert Mueller made a rare move on Saturday to publicly defend his two-year investigation into allegations of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia in the 2016 election – and to castigate Donald Trump’s decision to commute Roger Stone’s prison sentence.
Mueller wrote an opinion article for the Washington Post [paywall] published under the headline “Roger Stone remains a convicted felon, and rightly so”.
“The work of the special counsel’s office – its report, indictments, guilty pleas and convictions – should speak for itself,” he wrote.
“But I feel compelled to respond both to broad claims that our investigation was illegitimate and our motives were improper, and to specific claims that Roger Stone was a victim of our office …
“Stone was prosecuted and convicted because he committed federal crimes. He remains a convicted felon, and rightly so.”
Mueller did not write an op-ed. We saw in July of 2019 that he didn’t understand what was going on with the investigation, he couldn’t answer a single question, he kept telling the Congress to refer to the report, he repeatedly made it clear he didn’t even know what was in the report. It was like a Walmart greeter saying “you’re going to have to ask the manager…”
Roger Stone was convicted of “interfering” with an investigation that was proved to be a hoax. Most people would agree that if an investigation is begun on completely false grounds, but you’re able to entrap someone during the course of the investigation, once it is admitted that the entire investigation was a hoax staged for political reasons, the people who got caught up in the hoax and charged with “lying to Congress” because they forgot the contents of an email should be let go.
What this op-ed is saying is that it doesn’t matter that none of it was real, he should still be punished. They also support punishing General Flynn, who was literally purposefully entrapped by the FBI.
The media is deranged, and they rely on the fact that all of this crap has gotten so convoluted that no one other than obsessives like me even know what any of it is about. This fake Mueller op-ed frames the situation as if Stone was caught colluding with Russia in a conspiracy, and that is what the majority of people, if asked, would tell you is what happened. But no. It was a “process crime.” He forgot about an email.
I shouldn’t be surprised that they’re rolling out the bobbing corpse of Mueller before the election. They may well do this again.
