Since Colonialism is Evil, Can We Please Jetsam Puerto Rico Now?

Just a daily reminder that Puerto Rico is costing US taxpayers billions upon billions of dollars and this money is being squandered to the point that they can’t even keep basic things functioning.

LA Times:

Puerto Rico will close 184 public schools as part of a broad effort to pull the U.S. territory out of a crippling debt crisis, officials announced Friday.

Roughly 27,000 students — mostly from kindergarten through fourth grade — and 2,700 teachers will be affected by the closures, which are set to take place before next school year.

The U.S. territory is in deep economic crisis. Puerto Rico Gov. Ricardo Rossello said Wednesday that the commonwealth has filed for a type of bankruptcy to help restructure its more than $70-billion in debt after negotiations with multiple creditors failed.

The financial trouble has deepened as many people have left for the U.S. mainland in search of better jobs. Consequently, the population of school children has been in steep decline, making the education system an inviting target for cuts.

Between 2010 and 2015, Puerto Rico closed 150 schools, according to the Associated Press. This new round will be the largest in Puerto Rico’s history.

“What we saw in the past 30 years is that the number of students in the public school system has radically declined by something like 20 or 30 percent,” said Arturo Porzecanski, an economist at American University in Washington. “And in the meantime the number of teachers has increased. Nowadays it’s typical to have 15 or 20 students in the classroom.”

According to my understanding of humanist/Jewish morality, colonialism is the third worst form of pure evil, following the Holocaust and slavery. Maybe it is tied for third with the Crusades.

Regardless of specific ranking on the “pure evil” scale, it seems like it’s time to end it. After all, it’s current year.

I mean, sure, they’ll turn into Haiti pretty much immediately, but if I understand Jewish morality correctly – and I’m pretty sure I do – that’s a very, very small price to pay for being freed from what is literally one of the top five most purely evil concepts in all of human history.

Wikipedia says it’s 62% white, which is about the same as the US as a whole, and yet it functions like a slightly less violent version of Detroit.

Tbh, I wouldn’t really consider the girls in the first pic “white” by American standards, but it seems like they’ve got good enough genes to you know, feed themselves (they’re a helluva lot whiter than that Paki former white supremacist mastermind who now works for the SPLC).

Maybe it really is just because of the evil nature of their status as slaves to a corrupt colonial empire…?

List of Evils

The Jews really should come out with an official list of most evil things in history.

I mean, I know that the Holocaust is number one, I know that black slavery is number two, and I know that nothing Jews, brown people or communists (besides maybe Stalin) did is on the list, but it would be really helpful if the ADL or the SPLC could release a full list of the most evil things ever in all of human history.

In particular, I’m interested in where this website ranks. Surely, we’ve made the top 20 by now, right?
