Russian Tennis Federation president Shamil Tarpischev has been fined $25,000 (£15,500) for referring to Serena and Venus Williams as “the Williams brothers” on a TV chat show.

American professional tennis ape, Serena Williams, recently took simian umbrage with some lighthearted remarks made by Russian tennis chief, Shamil Tarpischev. In a reference to Serena Williams and her tennis-star sibling, Venus Williams (aka The Older Tennis She-Monkey), Tarpischev referred to the allegedly female Williams sisters as “the Williams brothers.”

The hilarity was recorded during the taping of a TV talk show prior to the WTA Tour Finals in Singapore.

Serena & Venus Williams do not look very feminine.  They could probably join the men’s UFC and do pretty well, if the tennis gig ever falls through.

Tarpischev’s good-natured jab at the Williams sisters gorillianesque lack of human beauty was definitely racist and funny and refreshing — but don’t flatter yourself, Serena — the fun at your expense was most definitely not meant to be sexist. Pretty White women are the typical and logical targets of sexist remarks made by White Russian male tennis coaches, and you are clearly the ugliest specimen of any female genome of any species in the history of the universe.

Racist? Absolutely. And we applaud and support the Russian coach for his nerve and cagey sense of humor (pun intended). But sexist? Not a chance.

Serena Williams also claims “muh feelings” about an alleged bullying aspect to the Russian coach’s remarks by stating, “I thought they were in a way bullying … it’s really unacceptable to make such bullying remarks.”

C’mon. Man up, Serena. It was just a joke.
