The New York Post’s Hunter Biden obsession has reached the level of parody. He’s their top story again this weekend.
I guess the post is technically a tabloid, so it’s reasonable enough to run these sex and drugs stories. But at this point, every time I see or hear anything about Hunter Biden, I just feel exhausted. It’s like, “yeah, we get it – sex and drugs.”
The Post also has the single worst video embed system on the internet. I was going to link the phone call they posted, but their embeds are just too dumb.
That article isn’t even written by Miranda Devine. I get that she’s covering Hunter and has made a career out of it. I don’t blame her for that. She’s making money, and she actually talks about Hunter’s connections to Joe and these crooked pay-to-play bribery schemes (while also talking a lot about the sex and drugs stuff).
The fact that Hunter is a drug addict is understood and not really relevant. I don’t see the relevance here, beyond this stupid and pointless hypocrisy critique that conservatives are obsessed with. Yes, boomer, we know that if Don Jr. was smoking crack and screwing hookers while holding a gun on video, the media would cover it.
Frankly, that would be good for Don Jr., who is not even remotely cool. This guy is in his 40s and literally has a girlfriend like he’s 14. It’s an old and extremely shrill Latinx woman.
He posts pictures like this:
I know divorce is hard and drives men insane, but get a grip. Smoke some crack.
I digress.
The Post has a phone call, because Hunter was also recording phone calls and saving them on his leaked laptop. There has to be more political stuff on there, but they don’t publish it. It’s just “let me tell you more about how cool Hunter Biden is.”
Again, the Post is a tabloid, so smutty type material is a big part of what they do, but so many conservatives are going along with this, and saying “listen up, snowflake – take a look at this picture of Hunter Biden having sex with a hooker. Are you triggered? Guess you better run to your safe space.”
The basic fact is that we all have someone who has a drug problem in our family. That’s probably true of every single family in America, excluding maybe the Mormons. This creates a situation where conservatives are actively making Joe Biden more sympathetic with their supposed attacks.
Today’s article, as well as many of the top smutty Hunter stories the Post has featured at the top of the page, was written by a Jew, Jon Levine. It makes you wonder.
