Is BA.2 going to be omicron 2.0?
There are now at least 127 known cases of the subvariant BA.2, otherwise known as the “stealth” variant, circulating in almost half of the United States that international experts suggest is more contagious as omicron, according to a recent CNBC report.
But Kristen Nordlund, a CDC spokesperson, in a Monday statement to The Washington Post, cautions, “Currently, there are insufficient data to determine whether the BA.2 lineage is more transmissible or has a fitness advantage over the BA.1 lineage[omicron].”
“Although the BA.2 lineage has recently increased in proportion in some countries, it remains a very low proportion of circulating viruses in the United States and globally.”
In Denmark where approximately 80% of Danes are fully vaccinated and 60% have received booster shots, BA.2 has displaced omicron as the predominant variant, with the health ministry reporting more than 50,000 new COVID-19 infections this Friday, likely mostly secondary to BA.2, Troels Lillebaek, the chairman of the country’s surveillance committee on COVID-19 variants, told CNBC.
This is just an unfunny parody at this point.
All of the variants are stealthy as there is no evidence that any of them even exist.
Joseph Mercola – who I generally like – came out and attacked virus deniers by saying that the virus was proved to exist and all he did was cite the same dumb computer models and PCR testing that Lord Fauci cites.
Andrew Kaufman and Tom Cowan gave a response, going through all the details of the moronism that Mercola is promoting.
So did David Icke.
Mercola’s argument is basically just “it’s not helpful to the cause to deny the virus.” The fact that he cited all of these institutions that he himself has consistently denounced was just procedural to support his claim that talking about the fact that the virus doesn’t exist is not helpful.
It’s pretty clear that Mercola knows that the virus doesn’t exist, but he thinks it’s too much to tell people that.
I’ve seen that it’s too much. I’ve seen my own readers be left in disbelief that they could tell a lie this big. They effectively do “the Holocaust must have happened because I saw a pile of shoes.”
There is no evidence for a new virus. If there had been a new virus, there would have been an increase in mortality in 2020. There was no increase in mortality until they rolled out the vaccine.
So the claim of the virus believers is: “there is a new disease that is exactly like the flu that only kills people who otherwise would have died from the flu.”
