It’s been a while since I read The Art of War, but I’m pretty sure you’re not supposed to do exactly what your enemy wants you to do.
If I was a Democratic strategist, I would look at this, and I’d think –

For many people, 2016 was not about Globalism or Nationalism – it was simply a referendum on whether or not people wanted to be nagged to death by crazy-eyed rich old zombie granny white bitches in one-color pants suits.
The nation has already spoken, and rendered a decisive verdict on the fetus-eating, sulfur-smelling pant-suit hag question.

Except the grandson on the left – I guess that’s the one who wishes he had brown skin.
This isn’t 4D chess, or even reverse psychology. Trump is just telling them what he wants them to do, because he knows that they will do it anyway – and they’re doing it anyway.
President Trump on Wednesday touted that he has the power to fire all the individuals tied to special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russia’s election interference, while noting that he doesn’t want to stop the probe.
“I could fire everybody right now, but I don’t want to stop it because politically I don’t like stopping it,“ Trump said during a sprawling press conference at the White House one day after the midterm elections.
If he stopped the investigation, they would just conspiracy theory about it forever. He would be vindicating it. But I think he wants to toy with it a little, just to get the House to go immediately to “Russia Russia Russia” as loudly as possible.
Firing Sessions now, and having the new guy not recuse himself immediately, is just inviting the new Democratic House to spend all their political capital on this dead horse.
There is no bait that these people will not take.
There is not one single person in America right now who does not believe that Trump is a Russian agent, but who would believe it if only they had to listen to it for two more years.
Trump wins on this issue, because there is no group which it appeals to.
But they’ll take the bait anyway.
It has nothing to with strategy – they just can’t help themselves.
