The hysteria is just getting started.

Conspiracy nuts are reportedly setting phone masts alight and targeting engineers after a bizarre claim 5G “radiation” caused the deadly coronavirus spread.
The theory originated last month after a video filmed at a US health conference claimed Africa was not as affected by the disease because it is “not a 5G region”.
The myth was quickly debunked after the World Health Organisation confirmed there were thousands of Covid-19 cases in Africa.
The government has also confirmed there is “no evidence to suggest that 5G has anything to do with Covid-19”.
Celebs have been slammed for sharing the conspiracy theory, including Jason Gardiner and Callum Best, who posted similar claims that 5G can impact the immune system.
But the claims have still been doing the rounds on WhatsApp via a lengthy voice note – with phone masts now being set alight in the UK.
Engineers are now also being targeted with social media users encouraging each other to destroy the masts in a Stop 5G Facebook group.
Police and fire crews were scrambled to one inferno in Birmingham last night when a 70ft mast erupted in flames.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated but both emergency service was able to confirm the fire was deliberate at this stage.
Hundreds of people have commented on shocking videos of the blaze posted on the Facebook group.
One person wrote: “Good needs to be done everywhere evil domination is coming”.
Another said: “It is time to act now. Any 5g tower in your area burn it down! Collect people and stand and fight this. Act now before it’s too late!”
Others have posted pictures of masts near their homes, with users urging them to “destroy” it.
While one person in a separate group is keeping a “league” table for cities setting the masts on fire.
The group has now been forced to warn users not to attack engineers.
A post at the top of the site reads: “We have been notified by certain members of the public that some individuals in this group have decided to target telecoms workers, as they believe and claim them to be ‘criminals and genocidists’.
“You know who you are. If you continue to conduct yourselves like this you will be banned from this group.”

Why is Facebook allowing this group to exist? They don’t let you deny the Holocaust, but they allow you to plan… ecoterrorism? Is this ecoterrorism? Maybe it isn’t terrorism because the goal isn’t to inspire fear but just to destroy the towers. I don’t know, but it’s exactly the sort of thing I’ve consistently been predicting, which is just going to keep happening more and more.
It is baffling to me that people are coming up with all of these different stupid conspiracies about the virus, when the obvious conspiracy is staring them right in the face: this is the flu.
Although I guess that isn’t really a conspiracy. It’s just mass hysteria. But it is definitely a lot more interesting of an alternative narrative than a genocidal plot by cellphone engineers.
I’m most disappointed in /pol/. Upwards of 85% of comments on that board are still supporting the mainstream media narrative about this virus, and that is just so unbelievable to me. We are right in the middle of the biggest happening possibly ever in history, and they are just ranting about the hoax. They’ve literally become reddit.
Right-wing Twitter is even worse, though for the most part the only right-wingers still allowed on Twitter are neo-Nazis, who are frankly just a bunch of retards. They believe the mainstream Jewish narrative about “consent theory.” They’ve basically started pushing every mainstream media narrative, and just saying “but here’s why it’s actually pro-white…!”
Anyway, we’re already over two weeks into the quarantine, and none of these insane death predictions have manifested, so at some point there’s going to be a big realization by a segment of the people that they’ve entered into a hysterical state. Some of them will be able to admit it. Some won’t, and will just continue to double down on sunk costs.
Of course, it doesn’t matter what anyone says about anything at this point. This switch has been flipped and nothing can change where we’re going.
But I would rather read interesting takes than this cringe retard shit about how the flu is now the worst thing that has ever happened and how “the economy collapsing” only relates to the 401ks of boomers.
Beyond more engaging discussion, real information should be spread so that people can begin to prepare for this. We need to to be figuring out strategies that people can do to avoid being hit like the normies are going to be hit.
An easy one is to get everyone on bitcoin, because we are actually facing the very real threat of a libertarian-predicted hyper inflation scenario, and I believe that bitcoin is likely to be more stable than the dollar. I’m going to write out some more in-depth guides on how to get on bitcoin. You all have time to do it, given that you’re locked in your houses for several more months.
