A man has been charged after a woman was repeatedly stabbed near to a city bus stop.
The victim, aged 35, suffered a number of knife wounds to her neck and body in Wood End Road, Erdington on Thursday morning (April 23).
Police and paramedics were called to the scene, just off Six Ways Island, just after 9.15am.
She was taken to hospital – where she remained in a stable condition today (April 25).
Mohammed Farooq was arrested nearby and has now been charged with attempted murder, possession of a bladed article and using threatening behaviour with a bladed article.
The 54-year-old of Whatley Road, Handsworth, is due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court this morning.
