Sohail Hussain.
Isn’t cannabis haram in Islam?
Then again killing an infidel is 100% halal, so I guess it all evens out.
A speeding driver who ploughed into and killed a father of two on a road in Birmingham at double the speed limit has been jailed for five years.
Sohail Hussain was also almost three times over the permitted limit for cannabis when he struck 54-year-old Martin Carmichael.
Hussain, 26, of Siskin Drive, Balsall Heath, who pleaded guilty to causing death by careless driving, was also banned from the roads for five and a half years.
The defendant was driving a Seat Leon just after 11pm on Highgate Road, Balsall Heath, on December 28 last year which has a 30mph limit.
Mr Carmichael waited on the kerb side for about 40 seconds before attempting to cross the road.
“He was actually in the carriage way for about three to five seconds before the collision occurred.
Fifty metres prior to the collision the defendant had been travelling at 59mph, just short of double the speed limit,” said Mr Nigel Stelling, prosecuting at Birmingham Crown Court.
“Had the vehicle been driving at 30mph or below there would have been time for the driver to have avoided that collision,” he said.
