Virginia: Lee-Jackson Day Canceled After More Than 100 Years

Now this – this is real progress in action.

CNN:

For the first time in more than 100 years, Lee-Jackson Day will not officially be celebrated in Virginia.

The holiday, which was observed on the Friday before Martin Luther King, Jr. Day in January, celebrated Gens. Robert E. Lee and Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson as “defenders of causes.” The event typically involved Civil War-themed parades, wreath layings and reenactments hosted by Confederate memorial groups.

Last February, state lawmakers in Virginia passed a bill that would swap the holiday honoring the Confederate generals for Election Day.

The bill was among Gov. Ralph Northam 2020 legislative proposals.

“We need to make Election Day a holiday,” he said last year. “We can do it by ending the Lee-Jackson holiday that Virginia holds … It commemorates a lost cause. It’s time to move on.”

Defenders of the holiday argue that it honors Virginia history.

But Confederate symbols have become increasingly unpopular for their association with pro-slavery activists and racism.

Both Lee and Jackson, Virginia natives, owned slaves and fought to preserve slavery in the US.

The state of Virginia has grappled with its Confederate past in recent years.

There was a plan for progress laid out long ago, that goes a little something like this:

  • First, we put women in charge of everything
  • Then, we replace our population with primitive brown people who never developed the wheel
  • Then, we erase our own history
  • Then, we distribute drugs among the population
  • Then, we start injecting children with homosexual hormone drugs
  • Then, we remove all basic freedoms from the people as we totally collapse their economy
  • Then – flying cars and Mars bases

It’s so simple.

But racists not only hate the color of the skin – they also hate progress.

This is why so many people want to exterminate whites.

They are preventing us from going to the future.
