I have to believe Putin has a plan for this acronym.
I have to believe Putin has a plan for this acronym.

It is more than likely that this deal is going to go through.

It is very important to Putin, as it represents him being able to clean-up Europe’s failures. And Greece itself is pretty well ready to try anything.

Sputnik:

Greece is considering membership in the BRICS New Development Bank (NDB), Greek Deputy Defense Minister Costas Isychos told Sputnik on Saturday.

“[Greece] is discussing its position to be a future member of the Development Bank of the BRICS,” Isychos said.

Russia invited Greece to become the bank’s sixth member on May 11, but discussions of Athens’ ascension into the NDB were not due to start until the BRICS summit in July.

“Greece’s bilateral agreement with BRICS countries has to do with what Greece and the BRICS countries are talking about on the question of development projects within Greece,” Isychos told Sputnik.

The big issue I have with this is: what are they going to call BRICS if Greece joins?

Even as an avid Scrabble player, I am stumped. The best option may in fact be for Greece to change its name to something that starts with a vowel. I really can’t see any other option.

Putin obviously reads this site daily and is no doubt an avid comment-checker, so if you want to give some suggestions, please do.
