Jokes about killing Greta Thunberg are getting increasingly popular worldwide.
Italian authorities have today opened an investigation after an effigy of teen climate activist Greta Thunberg was found hanging by a noose from a bridge in Rome.
Images posted on social media showed an effigy with a poncho and long braids with a sign written in English reading ‘Greta is your God’.
Italian officials said an inquiry into ‘aggravated threats‘ had been opened on Monday.
Politicians slammed the stunt with Rome’s mayor Virginia Raggi expressing the city’s ‘solidarity’ with the Thunberg family in a message on Twitter.
Leftist PD party leader Nicola Zingaretti condemned the ‘grisly violence’ and said the party does not respect the values shared by those responsible for the effigy.
The 16-year-old Swedish activist hit international headlines after she launched a ‘Fridays For Future’ campaign last year, calling for students across the globe to protest outside their parliaments to demand climate action.
Last month she made a blistering speech at the United Nations in New York where she made an emotional plea for world leaders to intervene in what she perceives is a climate emergency.

It’s no wonder people are repulsed by her.
She literally takes transatlantic yacht trips with European royalty, eats a vegan diet, and moves through town in a $90,000 Tesla sportscar.
The adults are still failing kids, Greta Thunberg told thousands of Iowans Friday.
“We teenagers and children shouldn’t have to take the responsibility.” the teenage climate activists said. “But right now the world leaders keep acting like children, and somebody needs to be the adult in the room.”
Thunberg drove to Iowa City on Friday in a Tesla to lend a hand to the local teens waging their own climate strikes.
Her message to her peers in the Midwest was one of distrust and motivation. The 16-year-old, fresh off a damning speech at the United Nations, said Iowans cannot expect global leaders to take action to stop the flow of carbon dioxide emissions causing global warming.
They, too, must act.
“We will not beg world leaders to care and to act,” she said. “They have ignored us in the past and they will ignore us again. We will instead tell them that if they won’t do it, then we will.”
The 16-year-old Swede said she sees a tipping point. More and more people around the world are becoming activists.
“Together, we are unstoppable,” she said.
Yes, unstoppable.
Greta and her army will soon force everyone to travel on racing yachts and Tesla cars. They will force everyone to eat a vegan diet, too, because that’s just what the science says is good for the environment and human health.
Speaking of veganism, there’s something very unsettling about Greta Thunberg’s prepubescent appearance.
This unsettling something is reminiscent of recent news about a couple adopting a “girl” that they allege turned out to be a psychopathic older woman that allegedly tried to kill them multiple times.
Could this couple’s adopted daughter aged eight really be a dwarf aged 22 who threatened to kill them?
IT sounds like the plot of a horror movie — the lives of a loving family threatened by a “psychopath” dwarf posing as a child.
But in an incredible criminal case gripping the United States, a mum says she took in a girl believing she was an eight-year-old from the Ukraine in need of a home — when she was in fact a woman who threatened to kill the family.

It certainly looks like some kind of demon.
Kristine Barnett, 45, started to suspect Natalia was no innocent orphan after she adopted her in 2010. She came to believe the new addition to her family was an ADULT of 22 with dwarfism posing as a child.
Kristine alleges the “impostor” tried to poison her, pushed her against an electric fence and threatened to kill her other children in their sleep.
Natalia is said to have smeared blood on mirrors and tried to jump out of a moving car.
Today, though, it is Kristine and ex-husband Michael who are facing a stretch in prison.
They are accused of neglect of a dependent after leaving Natalia to fend for herself in a rented apartment in the US state of Indiana, while they moved to Canada.
Kristine and Michael, 43, are accused of ceasing contact with the vulnerable youngster and giving her no financial support beyond an advance payment of the rent.
But… what if Greta is even older than 16?
What do we really know about her, other than the fact that she looks weird, makes weird faces and complains about the weather?
There’s something very suspicious about this little creep.
I don’t support people threatening to kill her and so on, but I do understand the impulse, and I don’t think people are likely to stop doing that. She has this way of speaking and making these faces that make the viewer feel as though he personally is being harassed by her.
So probably, assuming this retarded person is going to remain a feature in our international government system, all of the governments of the West should probably set up “Thunberg Threat Response” teams employing people whose sole duty it is to monitor and respond to people expressing a desire to kill Greta Thunberg.
