After Flying to Saudi to Beg Them for Oil, Boris Johnson is Denied His Request

A swing and a miss!

RT:

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s bid to secure the assistance of Middle East oil exporters in pressuring President Vladimir Putin to end Moscow’s military offensive in Ukraine has come up empty, failing to win any immediate pledges from Saudi Arabia and the UAE to increase crude production.

Johnson ended his trip to the Arabian Peninsula on Wednesday after meetings with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Riyadh and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed in Abu Dhabi. He came away without persuading the kingdoms to announce any ramp up of oil supplies as the UK, US and their allies try to persuade the world to cut off their imports from Russia to punish Putin.

Asked by a reporter whether Saudi Arabia would boost output, he replied, “I think you need to talk to the Saudis about that. But I think there was an understanding of the need to ensure stability in global oil markets and gas markets and the need to avoid damaging price spikes.”

So: he literally flew out there to beg these people for oil, and they were like “nah.”

This is more proof, yet again, that all of these various minor powers are abandoning the West and moving towards China.

Saudi, combined with the other Gulf States, isn’t really even a “minor power.” They are of huge importance to this globalist interdependency scheme.

This fat moron claimed he tried to morally bully the Saudis in the midst of begging them to help him.

BBC News:

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said he raised human rights when meeting Gulf leaders for talks about ending reliance on Russian oil and gas after the invasion of Ukraine.

He discussed energy security and other issues in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates on Wednesday.

He said a global coalition was needed “to deal with the new reality we face”.

In the Saudi capital, Riyadh, Mr Johnson told the BBC he raised human rights and “what we can do to stabilise oil prices” in his meeting with Crown Prince Salman.

Recent executions in Saudi Arabia have drawn criticism from MPs and human rights groups.

Tory MP Crispin Blunt said the executions left Mr Johnson with “exquisite difficulties” in asking Saudi Arabia for help with oil supplies.

Yeah, maybe that’s why they did the executions (as I pointed out at the time)?

What type of behavior even is this?

“Please, please, please, we need your help! Also, you’re evil and I condemn you.”

Apparently, these people actually believe that moral bullying gives them power on the world stage – when they are the ones in need?

You can be the global morality police only when you’re the one with the leverage. The West has no leverage left – which is why Johnson flew to Saudi to beg them for help in the first place.

These people are all utterly unhinged.

What did he expect from this?

“Mr. Johnson, I wasn’t going to give you your oil because it’s against my nation’s interests, but now that you’ve accused me of being metaphysically evil, I’ve decided to acquiesce to your request”?
