In what may be the first military actions of ISIS inside a Western country, a man rushed the Canadian parliament on Wednesday with guns blazing. He shot several people and killed one.
The gunman was shot dead after reaching the inside of the Parliament building and firing outside of a room where PM Stephen Harper was holding a meeting.
“PM (Harper) was addressing caucus, then a huge boom, followed by rat-a-tat shots. We all scattered. It was clearly right outside our caucus door,” Treasury Board Minister Tony Clement told Reuters.
Presently, a man named Michael Zehaf-Bibeau is listed as a possible suspect. US intelligence reports that Zehaf-Bibeau, a “Canadian” born in 1982, was a convert to Islam, Reuters reports. With a name like that, it doesn’t make clear sense why he could be a convert rather than simply a Muslim.
This rather intense footage of the scene was released by the Globe and Mail:
Canadian police have set up a website where anyone present during the attack or the time leading up to it can upload video and photographs they recorded on their phones. This is an innovative and obvious concept that I have never heard of being employed before.
At present, it is unknown if the shooter acted alone or others were involved. Though it definitely appears he acted alone.
It’s Happening
If this is a Muslim attack – and thus far it definitely appears to be – than it is almost certainly linked to ISIS, even if it is simply that the shooter was inspired by the ISIS message. That means the good times are over, and these attacks are likely to start happening constantly, throughout the Western world, as the ice is officially broken.
That’s ultimately good for us though. Because eventually, it is going to be obvious to all but the way-too-far-gone that Islam is incompatible with Western civilization, and all of these filthy subhumans must be ejected.
And once you realize the Islamic problem, it isn’t a huge leap to realize the Jewish problem.
