Bernie Sanders has apparently won the Nevada caucus. Which he was projected to do, but you know, they were engaged in all sorts of weird behavior, so we didn’t know if that was actually going to happen or not.
At time of writing, there are 50% of the precincts reporting in, and Bernie has over 45% of the votes, and all of the delegates.
Joe Biden is in second place, with less than half of what Bernie has. He might break 20% before the count is over, but barely, which is a shameful showing for a very cool guy.
I’m starting to wonder if coolness is even worth anything in a Democrat primary.
Pete Buttigieg did badly with a miserable 15%.
What they’re saying is that most brown people voted Bernie, which goes against the common wisdom that Biden was going to roll up the brown folk.
At Cashman Middle School off the strip, Spanish-speaking Latino voters were asked why they supported Bernie and they said “Honestly, he’s the only one we see on TV and in Spanish ads.”
I’m a broken record on Latino investment, but it’s important. Speak to voters where they are.

Nevada is only 10% black, so maybe Biden will end up doing better in the heavily black Southern states. We’ve got South Carolina coming up on Saturday.
The following Tuesday is SUPER TUESDAY, when 15 states vote.
I predict that after SUPER TUESDAY, Bernie will be the presumed nominee.
I do not see a Jew Bloomberg or a Joe Biden surge coming on SUPER TUESDAY, because they’re just going to split the “moderate” establishment-supporter vote. Which will also be split with Buttigieg.
I can’t see anything stopping Bernie, other than more heart attacks.
