DeVincent Phillips, 40, owner of Xcel Athletics in Katy, was arrested Thursday after a girl told police she was sexually assaulted by the coach on three separate occasions.

A male cheerleading coach is accused of sexually assaulting a young girl during classes at his teaching facility in Texas on at least three separate occasions.

DeVincent Phillips, 40, who is the owner of Xcel Athletics in the Houston area of Katy according to its website, was arrested Thursday following the disturbing allegations first reported to police in late October.

The teen, who was not injured, told police that she was assaulted by the cheer coach while she was a student of his, said Fort Bend County Sheriff’s spokesman Bob Haenel.

Detectives believe there may be more victims and are now hoping to reach out to the facility’s current and former students on any previous incidents.

“If there are addition people who may have had inappropriate comments or inappropriate contact we’d like to know about that,” Haenel told the Daily News Friday. “We have a good strong case and I think it will bear out.”

Haenel would not say whether there were any witnesses during any of the alleged assaults.
