There are many reasons why businesses shouldn’t hire blacks.

Their tendency to shoot up the workplace when “disgruntled” is just one of them.

WAPT:

Southaven police have charged Martez Tarrell Abram, 39, with two counts of murder.

Two store employees were killed Tuesday morning in a shooting at a Walmart in Southaven, authorities said.

Abram was wounded in an exchange of gunfire with police, authorities said.

“Two of our officers encountered the suspect outside on the west side parking lot of the building. One of our officers was shot at this time. He was saved by his vest. Our officer is currently in the hospital recovering with his family,” said Southaven Police Chief Macon Moore. “At this point, the suspect was engaged by another officer. (The suspect) was struck twice by gunfire from our officer. He was taken into custody (and) he has been transported to Region One Medical Center, where it is my understanding that he is currently in surgery.”

Southaven Mayor Darren Musselwhite said the suspect is a disgruntled Walmart employee.

Anthony Brown, 38, of Olive Branch, who employees said was a store manager, died after he was shot inside Walmart, DeSoto County Coroner Joshua Pounders said. Family members said Walmart employee Brandon Gales, of Hernando, was also shot and killed.

The shooting prompted a sizable law enforcement response, with officers setting up a perimeter and entering the Walmart Supercenter. The Shelby County, Tennessee, bomb squad was called to the scene after a suspicious package was found inside the store, Moore said.
