Jason Kessler, the organizer of the #UniteTheRight rally yesterday, tried to give a press conference this afternoon, and he was attacked by a mob.
He had to flee the scene, as he was rushed. No cops to protect him.
The white nationalist behind the violent hate rally in Charlottesville, Va., was chased away from a botched press conference Sunday as angry protesters swarmed on him.
Jordan Kessler, the organizer behind the “Unite the Right” demonstration that sparked deadly violence Saturday, scurried away from his 2 p.m. remarks after the irate crowd drowned him out.
Kessler was seen fleeing the scene with the help of a Charlottesville police officer as the mob yelled “murderer” and “shame” at him.
He was helped by the same police force that the white supremacist blamed for allowing counter protesters to clash with his hate rally.
As they couldn’t even protect him and allow him to make a public statement.
Police and the city government “failed to maintain law and order by protecting the First Amendment rights of the participants of the ‘Unite the Right’ rally,” Kessler alleged in a statement.
…
White nationalist leader Richard Spencer, who also attended Saturday’s rally, plans his own press conference for Monday.
His statement went on to say he worked with Charlottesville police months ago for the planned rally at the town’s Emancipation Park, formerly named Lee Park.
But cops didn’t separate the white nationalists from counter protesters when things started to get ugly Saturday, Kessler asserted.
Charlottesville police also “stood idly by when violent counter-protesters attacked the participants of the rally and then they forced our demonstrators out of Lee Park and into a melee with Antifa,” he said, referring to the anti-fascism ralliers who often clash with white nationalists.
Kessler’s released statement asserted that counter protesters brought weapons such as baseball bats and bows and arrows — along with a makeshift flamethrower from a spray can.
He didn’t assert that.
He stated it as a fact.
Those people on the stairs in that photo are getting chased out of the park, into a crowd of violent terrorists with flamethrowers and other weapons.
This is what we are living in now.
The streets are controlled by a violent mob of hatefilled maniacs that are protected by the cops.
Kessler was trying to give a speech explaining that the cops were responsible for all the violence yesterday.
He gave this statement from his hotel room.
He is not being interviewed by the media. No media has tried to interview him.
He is accurately stating the fact that this was a setup. He and the rest of the organizers of the rally were in communication for months with the police, and they simply tricked them. They let everyone into the park and then they attacked them.
That is what happened.
The cops attacked the demonstration. We were assembled legally. They attacked us.
The reason the crash happened is that the cops attacked the rally and claimed it was an “unlawful assembly,” even while it was ordered to be legal by a federal judge.
These were state cops there. This was an organized plot to shut down our free speech by the city and state government.
Because they were afraid of what we had to say.
That is the story. The story that the media is telling is a fake news hoax.
