The fake news network CNN, known for spreading conspiracy theories, hoaxes and primitive superstition, has been caught in yet another scandal.

Yesterday, they reported a school had been closed in Moscow, as revenge against America.

CNN:

Russia’s first visible action came later Thursday, when Russian authorities ordered the closure of the Anglo-American School of Moscow, a US official briefed on the matter said. The order from the Russian government closes the school, which serves children of US, British and Canadian embassy personnel, to US and foreign nationals.

I believe this was also reported on their television station, though I can’t find the clip.

Russia has taken issue with the claim, calling it out as simply made-up.

TASS:

Information on the closure of the Anglo-American School in Moscow spread by CNN is completely false, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova, wrote on her Facebook.

“US officials ‘anonymously informed’ their media that Russia closed the Anglo-American School in Moscow as a retaliatory measure,” she said. “That’s a lie. Apparently, the White House has completely lost its senses and began inventing sanctions against its own children.”

“You should not write that ‘Moscow denied…. Or Moscow will not…”. Write as it is: “The CNN TV channel and other Western media have again spread false information citing official American sources,” Zakharova stated.

The CNN earlier reported that Russian authorities have ordered the closing of the Anglo-American School in Moscow as a retaliatory measure after Washington imposed new sanctions on Russia.

Fake news is sanctions against our own children.

And you can be like “oh well, maybe it’s a mistake – fog of war. But this has been known for at least 8 hours, and CNN has not issued a retraction or changed the article. They are just claiming an ability to determine what is true and what isn’t.

The reality is that Russia has made it clear that they have no desire to take revenge on the US. At least not yet. They will not be expelling anyone.
