A Bloomfield man accused of murder in the February shooting death of a Middletown man in Hartford’s third homicide of the year was arraigned Friday in Superior Court and ordered held in lieu of $1 million bail.
Tamair Chance, who turned 27 Friday, was charged with murder and criminal possession of a handgun. His case was continued to July 30.
Hartford police say Chance shot Joseph Goiangos, 26, in the chest and dumped his body at 198 Woodland Drive.
A man getting ready for work found Goiangos’ body in the snow about 1:30 a.m. Feb. 19 in a parking lot next to an apartment building at 198 Woodland Drive, around the block from Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center. He said Goiangos had a knife and pellet gun near his body.

Another witness who described himself to police as Goiangos’ best friend told police he and Goiangos would often meet the man they knew as D Rosemont to buy drugs when they couldn’t buy from their regular dealer.
The best friend said he did not know what D Rosemont looked like because Goiangos would always get in the car and complete the deal. The friend and Goiangos had talked about robbing D Rosemont the night before the Goiangos was killed, but they were not able to get reach him on his cellphone.
