I’m shocked that black people would do something like this.
I thought they were nice people who are only poor because white people enslaved them hundreds of years ago.
Three people were wounded Friday in a shooting at The Streets at Southpoint mall in Durham, North Carolina, and three others were injured, police said.
The shooting victims included a 10-year-old, who was wounded by a ricocheting bullet, the Durham Police Department said. Police did not specify how the three other injured victims were hurt, but noted the injuries were not from gunshot wounds.
All six people were treated for injuries not thought to be life-threatening, Durham Police Chief Patrice Andrews said during a news conference on Friday.
One person was detained, but police did not provide any additional details about whether the person faced any charges in connection with the shooting.
“The shootings have to stop,” Andrews said.
She added that the shooting “occurred between two groups that knew each other,” and that they “were not indiscriminately firing.”
The shooting “did not appear to be a random incident,” according to police.
Off-duty Durham police working at the mall requested assistance about 3:23 p.m. after hearing shots, Andrews said.
About an hour later, the police department tweeted that the building was being evacuated and that “there is no further threat at the mall.”
In a written statement, Brookfield Properties, which owns The Streets at Southpoint, thanked the police department and said the company was focusing on the well-being of the people impacted by the shooting.
“Streets at Southpoint is a destination for the community to gather,” the company said. “We are saddened and outraged that we were the location for such a senseless act of violence among a group of individuals.”
A note on the mall’s website Friday evening said it would be closed until further notice.
We already ended slavery hundreds of years ago, so I’m not really clear on what exactly we can do to prevent blacks from behaving like this.
Maybe we should… send them back to Africa?
