Europe Proposes Banning Exports to Countries That May Re-Export to Russia

Do you want an Iron Curtain?

Because this is how you get an Iron Curtain.

RT:

EU lawmakers are mulling curtailing exports to nations currently able to re-export goods from the bloc to Russia, thus helping the sanction-hit country circumvent the penalties imposed by Brussels over the Ukraine conflict, the German news agency dpa has reported.

The European Commission (EC) reportedly sent a proposal for the measure, which may be included in the 11th package of sanctions on Russia, to member states earlier this week.

The bloc is expected to work on a legal tool that would allow it to restrict supplies from the EU to third countries “as a deterrent” at an early stage. If the measure proves insufficient, Brussels may subsequently block exports of certain goods, primarily those with both civilian and military applications, such as night-vision equipment.

According to the news agency, lawmakers from the 27 member states will discuss the proposal with EC President Ursula von der Leyen later this week.

This would mean sanctioning most of the world. It’s not really a realistic proposal.

Some of this sort of stuff seems to get thrown out there as an attempt to demonstrate how serious and unhinged they are.

It’s a bit like that “TikTok” bill that made it a felony to use a VPN. There wasn’t really a chance that was going to pass, but they throw it out there just to normalize crazy stuff in the minds of people.

They do this with pretty much everything. People forget that one of the main demands of the homosexual movement in the 1980s and 1990s was abolishing “age of consent,” i.e., legalizing pederasty. Most (or maybe all) of the main activists that ended up being associated with Stonewall were actively pro-pederasty.

But, hey – there are a lot of crazy things going on that I thought were impossible. If Russia doesn’t get control of the situation in the Ukraine, China isn’t going to have any choice but to intervene, because an actual Russian loss in the Ukraine would mean a collapse of the Russian government and a US takeover, and China simply can’t afford to have a massive ZOG base strapped with huge numbers of nukes on their border.

If China does commit, it seems likely that US/NATO will completely lose their minds, in which case “just sanction the whole world” is going to be a possibility or inevitability.

This could be good in the long run, as long as China doesn’t collapse from the economic pressure, because at that point, you’re basically playing chicken to see who can hold their country together for the longest.
