On Monday, Finland’s Ministry of Education and Culture struggled to explain why it denied a request for additional funding by the nationalist Finns Party youth wing, Yle reports. They finally explained that the organization’s position on multiculturalism is against the basic principles of the government itself, and it cannot give funds to things that are against itself.
Because Education Minister Pia Viitanen was allegedly too busy to deal with the questions of the people, the people were referred to the minister’s secretary.
“The political decision makers relied on the statements of the evaluation and grants board, and they have always done a tremendous amount of work evaluating different variables and looking at whether or not there is any rational basis for granting assistance. They then make a proposal which forms the basis for the decision,” blathered the permanent secretary, Kari Anttila.
“We should certainly look into what this is all about, because I think it’s very important that the government doesn’t dictate the activities of any organisation. That’s an essential feature of civil society,” she added, when the pressure came on.
This is the way it goes in the West. Liberalism is now the ruling authority, and they are willing to use all of their available leverage to silence you.
