There is something to be said for those democracy ideologies that claim that all people have a right to self-governance.
The problem is, no one actually believes in them, so following them just means you lose power.
The US claimed to believe in self-governance for the Albanian terrorists in Kosovo, and for the Kurd terrorists in Syria. They made all sorts of these claims when the Soviet Union was dissolving. But then they claimed that Eastern Ukrainians had no rights to independence from the Kiev Junta.
So if you’re a country that cares about competing, you can’t just give up territories. It doesn’t make any sense.
However, governing people who are not of the majority race is tedious.
Ask the Jews who run America. These goyim are worse than the Papuans.
Separatist rebels in Indonesia’s restive Papua province have released photos and videos of a man they say is the pilot from New Zealand they took hostage last week.
Phillip Mark Mehrtens of Christchurch, a pilot for the Indonesian aviation company Susi Air, was abducted by independence fighters from the West Papua National Liberation Army, the armed wing of the Free Papua Movement, who stormed his single-engine plane shortly after it landed on a small runway in Paro, in the remote Nduga district.
The plane, carrying five passengers, was scheduled to pick up 15 construction workers building a health centre in Paro, after a group of separatist rebels led by Egianus Kogoya threatened to kill them, said Nduga district chief Namia Gwijangge.
“Our plan to evacuate the workers angered the rebels, who responded by setting fire to the plane and seizing the pilot,” said Gwijangge, who was one of the passengers. “We deeply regret this incident.”
The rebels released all five passengers because they are indigenous Papuans, rebel spokesperson Sebby Sambom said earlier.
Sambom sent videos and photos to the Associated Press showing a group of gunmen led by Kogoya setting fire to the plane on the runway. Sitting in the plane’s cockpit, Kogoya said he took the pilot hostage as part of their struggle “to free Papua” from Indonesia.

Another video showed a man identified as Mehrtens standing in a forest surrounded by a group of people armed with rifles, spears and bows and arrows. In a third video, the man was ordered by the rebels to say “Indonesia must recognise Papua is independent”.
“I took him hostage for Papua independence, not for food or drinks,” Kogoya said in the video, with the man standing next to him. “He will be safe with me as long as Indonesia does not use its arms, either from the air or on the ground.”
The coordinating minister for political, security and legal affairs, Mohammad Mahfud, said the government is making every effort to persuade the rebels to release Mehrtens “because the priority is the safety of the hostage”.
“Taking civilians hostage for any reason is unacceptable,” Mahfud said in a video statement late on Tuesday. He said persuasion is the best method to ensure hostage safety, but “the government does not rule out other efforts”.
He emphasised the government’s view that Papua is part of Indonesia.
“Papua will forever remain a legitimate part of the unitary state of the Republic of Indonesia,” Mahfud said.
Papuans are negroid. Not just in the sense that they’re black-skinned – many Indians are black-skinned – but they are actually somehow related to Africans.
However, they are much dumber than Africans. Say what you will about the black median IQ, but Africa has cities that more or less function on par with those in Latin America.
Papuans do not really have cities. They’ve also never adopted modern clothing.
They are a seriously primitive bunch of people.
But basically, if Indonesia (pretty much on Team China at this point) doesn’t hold the land, people from Team USA will come in and set up a fake government to make corrupt deals with.
So you can’t just surrender the territory, even though in a perfect world, that is probably what would be best for all parties involved (these people kidnap and/or kill Indonesian Malays constantly, this is only a news story because the guy is white).
But it’s kinda funny.
