A 22-year-old man was arrested Saturday after he was accused of raping a woman he met on a social media dating application called Tinder.
The woman told authorities with the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office that she met Jacob Hirsch Witz, whom she identified as “Jake” on Tinder, a free downloadable application that matches users who “like each other’s profile pictures.
The two planned to meet at her apartment near LSU. At first, they began talking while sitting on her couch, then the conversation moved to her bedroom. The casual encounter then turned violent early Saturday morning, according to an affidavit of probable cause.
The woman said while in the bedroom, they began kissing and Witz kept touching her legs, chest and shorts, and each time, she would move his hand.
Witz then became aggressive and pulled the woman’s shorts off, the affidavit says.
The woman accused Witz of slapping her “very hard across the face with an open hand,” ripping her shirt off and raping her, the affidavit says.
The woman told the detective that Witz found her cell phone and forced her to delete all the text messages the two had exchanged from her phone.
Witz then made her take a bath while he watched, the affidavit says.
From what the woman could gather, before Witz left the apartment, he told her: “Pretend this did not happen. Don’t tell anybody, I did not rape you, I got to get out of here.”
I think this could perhaps be part of an Antisemitic conspiracy against Witz, possibly arranged by infant terrorists from Hamas.
