A British woman has died of marijuana poisoning. She was a Christian and a mother of three, and smoked the plant because it helped her sleep.

From the Daily Mail:

Gemma Moss, 31, was killed by the level of the drug in her blood, an inquest heard.

The regular churchgoer, who was found dead in her bedroom, is thought to be the first woman in Britain known to have died directly from cannabis poisoning.

Her death was caused by cannabis toxicity, and a coroner recorded a verdict of death by cannabis abuse.

The inquest was told that Miss Moss smoked half a joint a night to help her sleep.

The devout Christian had been a frequent user but stopped for two years before her death last October.

Her family say she started using the drug again to help her sleep after becoming depressed when she split up with her boyfriend.

A female friend told police Miss Moss smoked as much as £60 worth of the drug a week, although her family disputed this.

On the night of October 28 last year Miss Moss, who had two sons, Tyler, 15, and Tessiah, eight, and a daughter who lives abroad, went to bed after rolling a joint.

She was found the following morning by Tyler’s girlfriend who called an ambulance to the flat in Bournemouth.

Miss Moss was pronounced dead at the scene.

Half a joint was found underneath her body and a wrapper containing brown and green leaves of the class B drug was discovered in her handbag.

Quite a sad thing. And strange. If this is possible, why has it never happened?

A friend said she had only smoked £20 worth in the week leading up to her death.

Oh, but who did the examination?

A post mortem examination revealed that there were no obvious signs of abnormality in Miss Moss’s body. Pathologist Dr Kudair Hussein told the inquest in Bournemouth there were ‘moderate to heavy’ levels of cannabis-related chemicals in her blood.

Bournemouth coroner Mr Sheriff Payne asked Dr Hussein: ‘You are satisfied it was the effects of cannabis that caused her death?’ Dr Hussein replied: ‘Yes sir.’

For all we know, Hussein poisoned her himself.

Apparently though, this has happened before.

It’s sad.

Russell White, a leader at the Citygate Church, said: "Gemma was a good mother and brought up her children mainly on her own. She was full of fun and loved life and loved coming to church. She was a committed member of the church and brought her children along."

UPDATE:

Groups are indeed questioning the “death by cannabis” theory.

From the Opposing Views:

Moss, a mother of three, was reported to have collapsed in bed and suffered a cardiac arrest after smoking half a joint. She had smoked marijuana frequently before, but not in the two years before her death. She picked up the drug again when experiencing anxiety over a break-up.

Her cause of death was recorded as cannabis toxicity, making her Britain’s first woman to die from marijuana.

But some experts are skeptical of the veracity of these claims. The New York Daily News asked several area doctors to share their thoughts.

“From half a joint? That’s ridiculous,” said and Dr. Yasmin Hurd, a professor of psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

“It would be very, very, very unlikely to get a lethal dose of the marijuana if wasn’t adulterated with something,” agreed Dr. Bradley Flansbaum, a hospitalist at Lenox Hill Hospital.

Mason Tvert, director of communications for the Marijuana Policy Project, said that the death-by-weed “flies in the face” of medical research.

“You would need to literally consume a third of your body weight in marijuana,” Tvert said. “There are no acute marijuana deaths.”

And Peter Reynolds, the leader of Cannabis Law Reform (CLEAR), told HuffPost UK that Moss’ spontaneous cardiac arrest could not be pinned to pot.

“Science simply doesn’t support this verdict. There must have been another factor involved and there isn’t any evidence that cannabis was the causative factor,” Reynolds said.

As far as non-White children, I don’t see any picture evidence of that.  Yes, one child lives with her father in Jamaica, but there are plenty of White British living in Jamaica.  Though I guess it would be weird he would have a child there with him if he was not a native.  And I am always shocked at the sheer numbers of White women who are willing to produce gross mongrels, and perhaps I have a bad habit of always trying to see the best in people.

As far as being a good Christian mother – the point is taken that not having a father around. smoking pot etc., is not good Christian behavior.  Though the whole world is such a mess.  I think people deserve acknowledgment for trying.

Also, I want to note that it is clear that Jews are behind the drive to legalize pot.  Presumably, firstly because it is making them rich, second because they would generally prefer the goy to be high than not.
