One day after reopening, ice cream parlor closes to public after employees harassed by customers

This is going to be a major problem for all businesses.
There’s no way you can reopen and expect things to be normal. You can’t expect business to operate normally and you can’t expect customers to behave normally.
The owner of a Massachusetts ice cream parlor closed its doors just one day after reopening amid the coronavirus pandemic in response to how angry customers mistreated a teenage employee.
Mark Lawrence, who for 19 years has operated Polar Cave Ice Cream Parlour in Mashpee, a small town on Cape Cod, waited to reopen his shop under the state’s restaurant guidelines until Mother’s Day weekend.
But Friday’s grand reopening turned into a harsh lesson for the small business, according to Lawrence, who told FOX25 Boston that customers frustrated with having to wait longer for their ice cream after the shop grew busy took their anger out on his staff.
“One of my best workers quit yesterday at the end of her shift,” he said. “But the words she was called and the language, you wouldn’t even say in a men’s locker room, and to say it to a 17-year-old kid, they should be ashamed of themselves.”
Under a new plan to keep customers and employees safe, Lawrence said he posted on the shop’s Facebook page that all orders must be placed one hour in advance. However, many patrons didn’t follow the new rules, according to Lawrence, and appeared to forget their manners after weeks of social distancing.
“People have forgotten how to treat other human beings in the six or seven weeks that they’ve been confined to their homes,” he told the station. “They have no clue how to respect other human beings.”
Lawrence said he will close the shop to the general public until he comes up with a new operating plan.
Well, I mean – come on.
I’m sure that chick got abused, but what about the state of the people who were abusing here? Should we not have sympathy for the mass degradation of the mental health of the people?
The government of course knew this would happen. They knew that there would be mass mental health issues, as basically the entire society was driven insane by being locked inside their homes. But the government didn’t care. The only thing they cared about was protecting the extreme elderly from getting the flu. Or that’s what they told us. Driving the entire society off a cliff of madness was a small price to pay for keeping a few old people alive for a couple more months.
Speaking of things going off cliffs – how about this news story?
A 49-year-old Palm Desert man has been arrested for killing his young daughter by throwing her off a cliff following a crash off Highway 74 south of Vista Point in Riverside County, authorities said Thursday.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department says the cowardly incident began at about 8:30 a.m. on May 6 in the 44100 block of Washington Street in the city of Indian Wells after receiving reports of a stabbing in a parking lot.
Responding deputies discovered a female victim with multiple injuries as a result of a domestic violence incident and quickly identified the suspect as Adam Slater. The victim was taken to the hospital where she is in stable condition, authorities said.
The government has induced a state of mass insanity in the people, which I personally believe was part of the plan.
We’re going to have a lot of problems.
The real virus is going to be the insanity caused by the lockdown.
I don’t think getting mad at people for going mad helps anything.
