“Mercenary Base Bombed” – More Dead Redditors, Please, Mr. Putin

Russia is claiming that they’ve killed more redditors.

Frankly, r/VolunteersForUkraine appears to have CIA mods that are deleting anything about their dead. We’ve posted screenshots and videos, but all that stuff gets deleted and they just keep telling people to go serve as cannon fodder for Zelensky.

But the whole thing is still getting spammed with reddit deserters saying “DO NOT GO” in-between encouragement threads.

Just browsing the board now, and this latest bombing isn’t at the top of it. Also can’t find any Americans or other foreigners whining on Twitter.

But maybe there were no survivors.

Or, the survivors haven’t gotten around to uploading the videos of them crying yet.

RT:

Russian forces hit a Ukrainian special forces training center early on Sunday, killing more than 100 local troops and foreign mercenaries, the Ministry of Defense has said.

A Ukrainian Special Operations Forces training center near the town of Ovruch in the northern Zhytomyr Region, which hosted the mercenaries, was targeted by “high-precision air-launched missiles,” ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said during a briefing.

The airstrike has eliminated more than 100 Ukrainian special ops troops and foreign soldiers of fortune, he added.

A week ago, Russia destroyed another mercenary base at the Yavoriv range in the western Lviv region, saying that up to 180 foreign fighters were killed there.

Kiev disputed those numbers and put the death toll at 35 people. It also insisted that all those who died in the attack were Ukrainian.

Several redditors also disputed those numbers, putting the death toll at more than 200 – saying they were all foreigners (Ukraine claims the 35 were Ukrainian nationals).

However, after the strike, reports emerged of mercenaries fleeing to neighboring Poland in large numbers. Some would-be combatants have complained on social media and in interviews that the conflict turned out not to be what they expected.

Russia has warned that it was aware of all the locations of mercenaries on the territory of Ukraine and promised to continue targeting them “without mercy.”

“All further responsibility for the death of this category of foreign citizens in Ukraine rests solely with the leadership of these countries,” who encourage its people to answer to Kiev’s repeated calls for help in the conflict, Konashenkov said last week.

Boris Johnson has literally encouraged people to go do this, because he thinks that showing some crying British mum will make Britons more susceptible to his war propaganda.

But the key driver has been the American media, directing people to the reddit board.

There are a few posts about the bombing, including video from the Russian MoD.

I hope, hope, hope we get another round of reddit deserters posting crying videos.

Honestly, I don’t even think Russia views these people as a threat, and might be doing this just to make people on here and on /pol/ happy.

In the Douglas MacGregor interview I posted yesterday, he said the strike on the Lviv reddit base would have had to have been ordered directly by Putin, because in general nothing west of Kiev is getting hit.

So I like to think Putin was sitting around browsing /pol/ and called up the MoD and was like “kill more redditors lol.”

I’d like to see “go back to reddit” painted on one of the missiles.
