What a cheerful little Aztec.
How could anyone possibly describe him as “obnoxious”?
KKCO:
The Mesa County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim of the truck stop shooting, Thomas Huddleston, a 58 year-old male resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
According to the arrest affidavit, police say the two victims were talking with the suspect, Christopher Rizo, at the Roosters near Fruita, during the Super Bowl.
A witness described him as “obnoxious,” and he was kicked out by bar staff. When the two victims left the bar, Rizo allegedly drove by them at the T-A Truck stop, and pulled out a gun.
The documents say he demanded the victims empty their pockets, and one of the victims fought back.
That’s when Rizo allegedly fired at the two men, shooting and killing Huddleston, as well as injuring the other victim.
Fruita Police later found Rizo on Birchwood Street in Fruita.
He’s facing first degree murder charges.
