A Loveland man found guilty of first-degree murder and attempted murder for a September 2018 shooting has been sentenced to life in prison.
Adrian Guzman, 36, was sentenced Monday morning, two months after a jury found him guilty of first-degree murder for fatally shooting Clarence Westbrook and attempted murder for shooting and seriously injuring Christopher Green.
Guzman was sentenced to life in prison for killing Westbrook — receiving the required sentence in Colorado for a first-degree murder conviction — and 47 years in prison for the attempted first-degree murder conviction, according to court records.

In footage from indoor and outdoor surveillance cameras of the Loveland home, which was shown to the jury, Westbrook’s girlfriend Julie Etchison is seen walking into a room and then walking out with a box containing a toy helicopter on Sept. 27, 2018, the night of the shooting. She and Westbrook, who is seen signaling her to come with him, leave the room and the camera frame, exiting the house.
Moments later, Guzman is seen exiting from an adjacent room, where he had been watching surveillance footage of the home. He was holding a shotgun and followed the two outside.
The outdoor camera did not record the shooting, but the indoor camera captured audio of two gunshots followed by screams.
