This school is in Kansas (something that Elvis Dunderhoff didn’t have time to mention).

They seem to be pushing this stuff even harder in red states.
I don’t even think that is debatable at this point.
I will say this is one of the first articles where Elvis Dunderhoff picked a usable thumbnail.
You’d think that people would want this job. People are getting paid to write no text, and just include the draft. I write all of it. But apparently this is too difficult, and it’s easier to just take the money and shit on me, not even take the time to link the original link.
That is what I am reading as well. I read it as him/her saying “Yes, there are some books with this crap in them – I just want to let you know. I am here if you want to discuss it”.

So I questioned the purpose of this message? Is this person doing this to stand up and say we don’t care what parents think we’re going to do it anyways? Or is maybe this someone who’s trying to bring attention to the fact that this material is available? love to see follow-up.

Are you a parent? Because as a parent I can say I would be glad to get this email so that I know what is going on. It’s disgusting that these books are in the library but right now most parents have no idea. Knowledge is power
