The fatal shooting occurred in a car full of six young people headed to a party in the Ware Neck area of Gloucester County, according to witness testimony in court in June.
Dijon Lamour Whitter, of Yorktown, faces charges of second-degree murder, malicious wounding and two counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Joshua Steven Morrison, 18, of Yorktown, was found dead in a car at the intersection of Ditchley and Gill roads just after midnight on Jan. 17. A 15-year-old girl from Yorktown and two 20-year-old men were wounded.
Whitter is being held in jail without bond.
